Harvest service
Lesson: Religious education
Last week we enjoyed a wonderful time celebrating Harvest at St Oswald's Church.
The children participated in singing worship songs, reading their own prayers and contributing creatively to the service.
Children from Reception proudly wore their Harvest hats while praising God for the food we have. They were also very proud to reveive their very own Bible's from the school and Church.
Year 1 and 2 sang "a seed so small" and read their Harvest poem.
Year 3 and 4 wrote and performed a play thanking God for the colours of Harvest before playing their instruments and singing a Harvest samba song.
Finally, years 5 and 6 thanked God for the importance of water and sang a beautiful rendition of Wade in the Water.
Thank you to all who attended, it was great to see you there and celebrate Harvest together!
We trust that those of you who joined us for the pea and pie supper thoroughly enjoyed yet another wonderfully cooked meal from the local community. Many thanks to all who helped serve and cook this.
